Analytical Associate Chemist

About the role

We are seeking an Analytical Associate Chemist to join Surventis’ Chemetall surface‑treatment business in New Providence, New Jersey. The role supports routine laboratory testing and provides analytical data that underpin our metal‑coating technologies for automotive, aerospace and other industries.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical tests on chemical formulations and surface‑treatment products.
• Generate, review and document analytical results in accordance with quality standards.
• Support the Analytical Specialist by executing special projects and method development tasks.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to troubleshoot and optimise processes.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience working in an analytical laboratory environment, preferably in surface‑treatment or coatings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Effective communication skills to report findings to cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in routine analytical techniques (e.g., titration, spectroscopy, chromatography).
• Familiarity with laboratory data management and documentation practices.
