About the role

TMZ is seeking a Web Writer to produce short‑form stories for its digital platforms. The role requires fast, accurate, and fair writing across a spectrum of tones—from serious news to humorous pieces—while maintaining the brand’s editorial standards.

Key responsibilities

• Write and edit short‑form web stories covering a wide range of topics.
• Ensure factual accuracy and adherence to editorial guidelines.
• Meet tight publishing deadlines and maintain a high output rate.
• Collaborate with the News Director and Executive Producers on story ideas and priorities.
• Publish content using the company’s web publishing tools.

Required profile

• Strong interest in pop‑culture and current events.
• 2–4 years of professional writing experience is a plus.
• Excellent command of written English.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week.
