About the role
TMZ is seeking a Web Writer to produce short‑form stories for its digital platforms. The role requires fast, accurate, and fair writing across a spectrum of tones—from serious news to humorous pieces—while maintaining the brand’s editorial standards.
Key responsibilities
- Write and edit short‑form web stories covering a wide range of topics.
- Ensure factual accuracy and adherence to editorial guidelines.
- Meet tight publishing deadlines and maintain a high output rate.
- Collaborate with the News Director and Executive Producers on story ideas and priorities.
- Publish content using the company’s web publishing tools.
Required profile
- Strong interest in pop‑culture and current events.
- 2–4 years of professional writing experience is a plus.
- Excellent command of written English.
- Ability to work onsite five days a week.
