Creative Video Specialist

About the role

PragerU is seeking a high‑energy Creative Video Specialist to produce, shoot, and edit educational videos that engage viewers and donors. The role is on‑site in Los Angeles, fast‑paced, and involves frequent travel to capture content in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and record high‑quality video and audio on location and in studio.
• Edit footage into narrative episodes, applying color correction, sound design, and motion graphics.
• Troubleshoot technical issues on the fly and manage lighting for indoor and outdoor shoots.
• Collaborate with creative leads to incorporate editorial feedback and meet tight deadlines.
• Handle live‑streaming for social media and manage file organization, codecs, and export workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating various camera systems, lighting rigs, and on‑site sound equipment.
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team in high‑pressure environments.
• Comfortable engaging with diverse participants, including in potentially hostile situations.
• Organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple concurrent projects.

Required skills

• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Adobe After Effects
• Adobe Photoshop
• ProTools or Audition (Logic Pro a plus)
• Camera operation (multiple formats)
• Lighting setup for indoor and outdoor shoots
• Audio recording and editing
• Color correction
• Motion graphics and lower‑third overlays
• Knowledge of codecs, file structures, and video export for online platforms
