Producer & Social Media Specialist

About the role

iHeartMedia, the largest audio company in America, is hiring a Producer & Social Media Specialist in Burbank, California. The role manages the social media presence of iHeartRadio local stations, creates content and copy, and acts as a liaison between departments. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a regular posting schedule of content and editorial pieces across iHeartRadio local station social media accounts
• Develop dynamic content for on-air use and post it on all designated social media accounts
• Create and write social copy for posts and artist programs
• Develop strategies to increase followers and engagement for iHeartMedia social accounts
• Screen phone calls, emails, DMs and iHeartRadio TalkBack messages
• Coordinate with departments such as sales and promotions as a liaison
• Perform general administrative duties for the department
• Respond to music and pop culture events to introduce new fans to the iHeartRadio ecosystem
• Track social media influence measurements
• Produce audio and video segments for social media, streaming and broadcast
• Occasionally operate the audio console in compliance with FCC rules and regulations

Required profile

• Administrative experience across sales, marketing, operations, finance or another industry; past experience in entertainment or music preferred
• At least one year of experience with social media or digital marketing
• Knowledge of social networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit and TikTok
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, organization and analytical skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
