Warehouse Manager - Industrial Automation

About the role

The Warehouse Manager will lead the Miamisburg, Ohio distribution facility for Automation & Factory Solutions, a SunSource company. The role oversees receiving, put‑away, inventory control, order fulfillment and shipping while driving safety, continuous improvement and high inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach and schedule a team of ~10 warehouse associates, handling performance management and disciplinary actions.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in receiving, put‑away, picking, packing and shipping using Lean, 5S or Kaizen methods.
• Maintain end‑to‑end inventory accuracy, run cycle‑count programs and resolve discrepancies in Epicor Prophet 21 (P21).
• Develop, document and audit SOPs and work instructions; manage a cross‑training matrix for multi‑skill coverage.
• Ensure OSHA compliance, lead safety training and incident investigations, and oversee equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of warehouse/distribution management experience with direct people leadership.
• Proven track record of driving continuous‑improvement initiatives that improve throughput, reduce cost and increase accuracy.
• Experience collaborating with purchasing, customer service and finance to resolve inventory issues.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) or similar ERP/WMS system.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Lean Six Sigma methodology (Yellow/Green Belt) and root‑cause analysis tools (5 Whys, fishbone diagrams).
• Forklift operation certification or ability to obtain it.
