About the role
The USAC Payroll Analyst will support 3M's payroll operations across the United States and Canada. You will work closely with HR, IT, Hire‑To‑Retire (HTR) and external partners to improve payroll processes and enhance the employee experience.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and lead process‑improvement and automation initiatives for payroll and related workflows.
- Collaborate with Compensation, Benefits, HTR, IT and external partners to design and execute new Workday functionality or integrations.
- Analyze data issues and develop sustainable, long‑term solutions.
- Support merger and acquisition payroll activities, including integration planning and impact assessment.
- Maintain compliance with local, state and federal payroll regulations.
- Monitor external trends and apply relevant insights to payroll processes.
- Manage assigned key projects from initiation to delivery.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with at least three years of payroll, HR or finance experience, OR a high school diploma/GED with at least seven years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work in private, public, government or military environments.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with payroll software such as Workday and SAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
