Technical Program Manager – Maritime Autonomy

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a senior Technical Program Manager to lead the integration of its Hivemind autonomy stack onto Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and future Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUVs). The role involves building programs from concept through production and operational deployment, working closely with domestic and international customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead USV autonomy integration programs and support future UUV integration initiatives.
• Define clear program objectives aligned with mission impact, customer success, and financial outcomes.
• Own integrated program plans, managing scope, schedule, budgets, and resources.
• Facilitate rapid technical decision‑making, identify risks, and drive alignment across cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate system integration, testing, and sea‑trial activities, ensuring readiness for deployment.
• Maintain consistent communication cadence, track program financials, schedules, and deliverables.
• Support business development activities such as proposals, RFIs, and RFPs.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience leading complex cross‑functional engineering programs, with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• Strong technical understanding of software‑enabled systems, autonomy, and aerospace or integrated products.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and technical performance in fast‑paced environments.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with willingness to travel internationally.
