Tax Manager

About the role

Rapidly growing CPA practice is seeking a full‑time Tax Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will manage a small book of clients, review and prepare high‑complexity tax returns for individuals and businesses, and apply an analytical mindset to each issue.

Key responsibilities

• Review and prepare individual and business tax returns, including high‑complexity filings.
• Lead project management activities for tax engagements.
• Develop tax planning strategies to maximize client savings and identify ongoing opportunities.
• Research complex tax issues and devise effective resolutions.
• Perform data analytics and problem‑solving to support tax work.
• Supervise a staff of 2‑4 professionals.
• Communicate with clients and coordinate with their other advisors.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience in individual and business taxation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required); Master’s in Taxation (a plus).
• CPA or EA designation preferred.
• Proven experience managing engagements and client relationships.
• Strong organizational, prioritization and independent work abilities, while collaborating well with others.
• Ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of $95,000 – $125,000, commensurate with experience.
