Tax Accountant – Hybrid, Tampa

About the role

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a Tax Accountant to support its global operations. The role focuses on preparing and filing income, sales, use, and property tax returns, as well as handling related accounting tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Gather information and prepare reports for tax returns.
• Coordinate timely filing of sales, use, and property tax returns.
• Prepare and file tax returns (often outsourced) and review property tax bills.
• Coordinate payment of tax bills, invoices, and returns.
• Prepare tax registration/renewal forms and assist with tax payment forecasting.
• Respond to tax notices and support governmental tax audits.
• Assist professional service providers with required information.
• Book tax accrual entries, reconcile general ledgers, and record tax payments.
• Manage sales tax exemption certificates and research product taxability.
• Maintain SOPs for indirect tax processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred).
• 1‑2 years of accounting or tax‑related experience (preferred).
• Strong research, written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

What we offer

• Starting salary of $60,000 per year.
• Hybrid work model – three days per week onsite at 615 Channelside Dr., Tampa, FL.
