Tape and Texture Production Worker – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for experienced Tape and Texture production workers to join our manufacturing team at Champion Home Builders in Athens, Texas. The role involves preparing and finishing sheetrock components for our manufactured housing products.

Key responsibilities

• Apply mesh tape to sheetrock surfaces.
• Mix, spread, and sand mud (joint compound) to achieve smooth finishes.
• Apply texture and paint as required.
• Operate hand tools and mud tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.

• Basic construction background and desire to earn performance bonuses.

Required skills

• Basic experience with sheetrock.
• Knowledge of mesh tape application.
• Proficiency in mud (joint compound) application and sanding.
• Experience applying texture and paint.
• Familiarity with hand tools and mud tools.
