Systems Administrator III – Remote (Federal Agency)

About the role

Join a prestigious federal agency as a Systems Administrator III, working fully remotely to support critical economic and financial systems for the nation’s central bank. This 18‑month contract offers the chance to collaborate with top technology professionals and make a tangible impact on high‑security infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage middleware products, including Application Server and Web Server, handling deployment, configuration, and ongoing support.
• Support application and infrastructure testing, as well as certificate management.
• Configure and maintain application servers to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Jython, Shell, and Ansible to streamline operations.
• Provide on‑call support and assist in troubleshooting incidents.
• Work primarily Monday‑Friday with occasional weekend shifts as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Java and WebSphere Application Server.
• Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Python and Jython scripting.
• Knowledge of Ansible automation tools.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platform and services.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
