Spanish Language Instructor (Intensive Adult Course)

About the role

Piedmont Global Language Solutions (PGLS) seeks a native or bilingual Spanish Language Instructor to deliver an intensive, six‑hour‑per‑day course for adult professionals in Minneapolis. The class begins on June 20, 2026 and runs Monday‑Friday, focusing on rapid language acquisition for English‑speaking learners.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Spanish to adult English‑speaking students in a small‑group, classroom setting.
• Deliver six hours of instruction each day, Monday through Friday.
• Assess learner proficiency using ILR language levels and provide feedback.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools (Zoom, Skype, MS Teams, WebEx) for lesson preparation and supplemental remote support.
• Maintain curriculum alignment with contract requirements and client expectations.

Required profile

• Educated native or bilingual Spanish speaker.
• Minimum 2 years of classroom experience teaching Spanish to adult English‑speaking learners.
• At least 1 year of experience in small‑group instruction.
• Raised or educated in a Spanish‑speaking country or region.
• Familiarity with ILR language levels and proficiency assessment is highly desired.

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
• Strong client service, organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using virtual meeting platforms: Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, WebEx.
