About the role

Join Chai Discovery to build the software factory that turns cutting‑edge AI models into everyday tools for drug designers. You will bridge the gap between raw model capability and intuitive, high‑performance interfaces that biologists rely on.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship the applied AI layer and product features that enable scientists to design medicines on a computer.
• Render large molecular structures interactively, ensuring smooth performance without frame drops.
• Design user interfaces that let researchers reason alongside AI models and streamline messy scientific workflows.
• Collaborate closely with researchers, scientists, partner‑facing teams, and customers to iterate quickly.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience building and owning production products end‑to‑end with modern frameworks (React or Vue, TypeScript, and a Node/Go/Python backend).
• Strong bias for minimal, elegant code and pixel‑level craftsmanship.
• Fluency with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and 24/7 monitoring.
• Ability to instrument systems, read data, iterate, and explain technical trade‑offs to non‑engineers.
