Site Foreman – Lead Carpenter for High-End Residential Projects

About the role

The Lead/Foreman Carpenter will oversee high‑end residential construction projects, managing a crew of up to ten workers. This onsite position requires reading plans, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring quality workmanship while staying within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Review specifications and drawings, correct errors, and schedule pre‑construction walk‑throughs.
• Order materials, schedule subcontractors, and keep the job log updated.
• Control job costs, maintain budget compliance, and manage change orders.
• Coordinate subcontractor schedules and material deliveries for optimal efficiency.
• Maintain site cleanliness, safety, and security of homeowner belongings.
• Oversee production procedures, enforce company quality standards, and resolve structural or procedural issues.
• Provide daily progress updates to the Project Manager and track employee time.

Required profile

• Grade 12 education with strong math and English skills.
• Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience, including 3 years in high‑end residential construction.
• At least 3 years as a carpenter foreman or lead.
• Trade school certification preferred.
