Service Technician – Siena Apartments

About the role

The Service Technician ensures that Siena Apartments’ buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. The role combines resident‑focused maintenance with preventive upkeep and coordination of vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep, diagnosing issues and performing repairs per policies and codes.
• Oversee the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, and final quality checks.
• Develop and maintain standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and common areas.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, order supplies within budget, and complete monthly preventative maintenance tasks.
• Support budgeting for repairs, capital projects, and cost‑control initiatives, and conduct safety meetings with up‑to‑date MSDS and OSHA compliance.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in property or building maintenance.
• Experience with hand and power tools, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.

Required skills

• EPA Type I & II or Universal certification for HVAC refrigerant handling.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
• Experience using property management software and Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
