Senior T&D Asset Management Specialist

About the role

EDM International is seeking a Senior T&D Asset Management Specialist to lead consulting projects for electric utility clients. The role combines technical expertise in transmission and distribution asset management with project leadership to improve system reliability and risk reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead T&D asset‑management consulting engagements for utilities.
• Develop inspection programs, maintenance strategies and comprehensive asset‑management plans.
• Guide utilities on wood and steel pole asset inspection, service‑life extension and condition assessments.
• Perform risk, criticality and failure analyses, applying predictive modeling and lifecycle cost analysis.
• Support business development, proposal preparation and client relationship management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in electric utility transmission & distribution asset management.
• Strong knowledge of utility reliability, grid vulnerability and relevant regulatory requirements (FERC/NERC, state wildfire‑mitigation).
• Excellent analytical, project leadership and client communication skills.
