Senior Service Technician – San Antonio Area

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Senior Service Technician to support its San Antonio‑area properties. The role focuses on maintaining building systems, common areas, and amenities to ensure safety, functionality, and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative‑maintenance work orders, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with safety codes.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and timely for tracking and compliance.
• Maintain grounds, breezeways, pool areas and other common spaces through trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety and risk‑management meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property or facilities maintenance, preferably in a residential‑rental environment.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, inspection reports, and basic building codes.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory control and documentation.
• Commitment to safety standards and teamwork.
