Senior Radar Subject Matter Expert (Hybrid)

About the role

Parsons seeks a Senior Radar Subject Matter Expert to support ongoing Science & Technology efforts at the Army’s Aberdeen Proving Ground R&D Center. The role blends technical leadership, mentorship, and hands‑on engineering across low‑ and high‑frequency radar systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise, mentoring, and training to government and contractor engineers in systems engineering, laboratory and field testing, and concept evaluation.
• Conduct technology and operational effectiveness assessments for radar, RF, and C5ISR systems.
• Lead trade studies and advise on engineering solutions for ISR, SAR, MTI, air surveillance, and counter‑fire target acquisition radar missions.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and schedules; generate detailed test reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field with 15+ years of radar system design, development, test, and data analysis experience.
• Extensive systems engineering background with radar, RF, and C5ISR technologies.
• Proven ability to create test documentation, conduct technical training, and produce technical reports and briefings for senior management.
• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship at time of hire.
