Senior Maintenance Technician (San Diego)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to join its San Diego property team. You will be responsible for ensuring the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and maintain timely paperwork.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of property maintenance experience; high‑rise experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Yardi and Happy Property software is a plus.
• Availability to work Tuesday‑Saturday, 9 am‑6 pm (schedule may change based on business needs).
• Eligibility for a 40% housing discount.
