Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Centerfield is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead end‑to‑end data platform migrations and build scalable data pipelines that support business analytics across its digital marketing ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement software for data platform migrations, including legacy analysis, solution design, execution, validation, and decommissioning.
• Own large‑scale migrations such as Snowflake to BigQuery and transition downstream reporting to Looker.
• Build and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines for analytics.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for data flows, pipelines, and reporting logic, ensuring operational stability during critical periods.
• Identify data dependencies, risks, and optimization opportunities, collaborating with analytics, BI, and business stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and drive engineering standards across the team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience as a Data Engineer or Software Developer.
• Proven experience leading cloud data migrations and platform modernization.
• Experience working in production data environments with responsibility for pipelines and platforms.
