Senior Classified Cyber Security Engineer (Expat) – Italy

About the role

We are seeking a senior classified cyber security professional to join the Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) team at Aviano Air Force Base, Italy. The role involves protecting classified computing systems, supporting accreditation processes and ensuring continuous security monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain security for Windows and Linux servers, client PCs and network devices.
• Lead system security testing, accreditation activities and continuous monitoring under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Perform vulnerability scanning using ACAS, Nessus and Security Center, and manage POA&M and remediation.
• Create and maintain system security plans, apply security patches, and conduct media and virus scans.
• Coordinate with government agencies for approvals and support classified system design and integration.
• Conduct incident investigations and support self‑inspection reviews.

Required profile

• Interim Secret clearance and DoD IAT Level II certification.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE or SSCP.
• Experience with US Government accreditation processes (RMF, DoDI 8500.01, NIST SP 800‑37/53, CNSSI 1253).
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
