Retail Community Manager – Northern Virginia

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Retail Community Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations of an assigned multifamily property in Northern Virginia. The role combines property management, financial oversight, and resident services to ensure the community runs efficiently and meets performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the on‑site team, coordinating daily activities and resources to achieve budgeted financial and operational goals.
• Develop and monitor property budgets, analyze financial statements, and prepare monthly financial status reports.
• Set rent rates, collect rent and fees, process bank deposits, and ensure timely posting of payments.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, and manage communication between vendors, accounting, and owners.
• Control expenditures, manage petty‑cash fund, and stay within approved budget limits.
• Oversee lease enforcement, including application approvals, renewals, inspections, evictions, and collection of late fees.
• Analyze market and economic trends to create short‑ and long‑term marketing and leasing strategies that drive occupancy and revenue.
• Promote resident satisfaction through responsive service and community initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in multifamily property management or community management.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other relevant housing regulations.
• Ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and vendor relationships.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with a focus on resident satisfaction.
