About the role
We are seeking a passionate Chemist/Engineer to join our Research & Development team at QUIKRETE’s Engineering & Technical Center in Johns Creek, Georgia. The role focuses on evaluating novel materials, advancing product formulations, and driving innovation for our construction‑material product lines.
Key responsibilities
- Develop new high‑performance construction products using advanced technologies.
- Design and execute experimental protocols to qualify raw materials and alternative suppliers.
- Engineer and optimize formulations to improve cost efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Reformulate existing products to enhance performance and meet market demands.
- Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory technicians and junior engineers.
- Lead R&D projects and manage product‑category lifecycles.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands‑on laboratory or field experience with cement, concrete, paints, coatings, or similar construction materials.
- Familiarity with analytical methods, product formulation, mechanical testing, Design of Experiments, cement chemistry, and adhesives or coatings is highly desirable.
