Remote Staff Accountant / Tax Professional (U.S. Firm, EST Hours)

About the role

We are an established U.S. public accounting firm seeking a remote Staff Accountant / Tax Professional to support our U.S.-based client portfolio. The position works on Eastern Time hours and offers full flexibility to work from anywhere.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Record and review adjusting journal entries.
• Assist in the preparation of U.S. individual and business tax returns.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial information.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Collaborate closely with the U.S. team for review and sign‑off.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with U.S. clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Willingness to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Familiarity with U.S. individual and business tax preparation concepts.
