Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

About the role

The Emergency Department is seeking a competent Registered Nurse to deliver routine and complex patient care, work independently, and support the clinical team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care following the ANA scope and standards, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitor for side‑effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Participate in orientation, preceptorship, and competency validation programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license in the state of employment or compact.
• At least one year of acute care or related nursing experience (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC.

Required skills

• Medication administration.
• Patient assessment and documentation.
• Clinical competency validation.
