Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Full‑Time Day)

About the role

ScionHealth is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department. The RN will deliver direct and indirect patient care in a high‑acuity setting, applying the nursing process to ensure safe, effective treatment for patients of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Perform triage and prioritize care based on patient acuity.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments.
• Administer medications, manage critical drips, and perform emergency procedures.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Document care, treatments, and patient education accurately in the EMR.
• Apply infection control and sterile techniques consistently.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license (or compact equivalent).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIH Stroke Scale; TNCC and ASLS preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to continuous learning.

Required skills

• ECG interpretation.
• IV management and critical drip administration.
• Operation of emergency department equipment.
• Proficiency with EMR and clinical documentation tools.
