React Native Developer

About the role

Firehorse, a US‑based technology company, is seeking an experienced React Native Developer to design and deliver high‑performance cross‑platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. You will work closely with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to build scalable, secure, and user‑friendly mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain React Native applications for iOS and Android.
• Build reusable, modular, and maintainable UI components.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third‑party SDKs, including authentication services such as Cognito or Okta.
• Optimize app performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Debug and resolve issues across both platforms.
• Implement secure authentication and local data storage solutions.
• Collaborate with designers to create pixel‑perfect interfaces.
• Write clean, well‑documented, and testable code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best development practices.
• Work with backend teams to define APIs and overall architecture.
• Publish and maintain apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience building React Native mobile applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of React, React Hooks, and component lifecycle.
• Experience with state‑management solutions such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, or Context API.
• Proven ability to integrate REST APIs and handle asynchronous operations.
• Familiarity with mobile app architecture, design patterns, and navigation libraries (e.g., React Navigation).
• Knowledge of native modules, bridging concepts, and performance‑optimization techniques.
• Experience with authentication services (Cognito, Okta) and local storage solutions (AsyncStorage, MMKV).
• Comfortable using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks (Jest, React Native Testing Library).
