Quality Assurance Supervisor

About the role

De Silva Brothers & Company is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to support the QA Manager in overseeing food safety, product quality, regulatory compliance, and supplier verification for its spice and herb manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the QA Manager in daily QA operations across all product lines, ensuring compliance with HACCP, SQF, GMP, Kosher and federal/state regulations.
• Monitor microbiological and chemical testing of incoming ingredients and finished goods, and document results.
• Conduct internal audits, inspections, and act as QA Manager designee when absent.
• Support vendor approval, review Certificates of Analysis, product specifications, and maintain supplier compliance records.
• Maintain QA records, SOPs, HACCP plans, and ensure traceability documentation is audit‑ready.
• Supervise and mentor QA team members, collaborate with production, R&D and procurement to resolve quality issues.
• Lead investigations of non‑conformances, customer complaints, and manage root‑cause analysis and CAPA processes.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMP, Kosher standards and federal/state food safety regulations.
• Proven ability to supervise a QA team and work cross‑functionally.
