Project Executive – Healthcare Construction

About the role

Path Construction is looking for a Project Executive to lead healthcare construction projects in the Chicago region. This senior position reports to senior leadership and is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence across multiple project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regional business plan focused on growth and sustainability.
• Manage multiple project teams, allocate resources, and oversee delivery of profitable projects.
• Lead hiring and performance management for regional personnel.
• Negotiate and review prime construction contracts.
• Participate in corporate‑level planning and reporting.
• Oversee pre‑construction activities, including vendor pre‑qualification, pre‑construction meetings, value engineering, and estimating.
• Review design documents, identify scope gaps, resolve design conflicts, and manage RFI processes.

Required profile

• Proven track record executing all phases of construction projects, especially in healthcare.
• Strong leadership abilities with an established reputation for industry excellence.
• Deep understanding of construction mechanics and estimating.
• Excellent management and communication skills.
• Experience in competitive work procurement and strong estimating capabilities.
