Program Manager - Surveyor

About the role

Artheon is seeking an experienced NYS Professional Land Surveyor to provide technical leadership and operational oversight for its land surveying practice. The role ensures high survey quality, regulatory compliance, and supports practice growth across multiple projects and offices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for land surveying projects from proposal through final deliverables.
• Review plats, boundary, ALTA, topographic, construction surveys to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Lead QA/QC efforts, identify deficiencies, and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and improve SOPs, technical standards, and best practices.
• Establish performance metrics to improve consistency and protect profitability.
• Serve as the Professional Land Surveyor of record, signing and sealing documents.
• Mentor and develop survey personnel, fostering a culture of accountability.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews for successful execution.
• Support business development through client engagement and proposal support.
• Assist strategic planning for staffing and operational improvements.

Required profile

• Active NYS Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license; multistate licensure preferred.
• 15+ years progressive land surveying experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience leading survey teams or multi‑office operations.
• Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, subdivision, and utility surveys.
• Experience developing QA/QC programs and technical standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
