Program Management Director

About the role

Moog’s Power and Data Division is seeking a Program Management Director to lead program management across its three business units. Based in Blacksburg, VA, you will ensure programs meet cost, schedule, and performance targets while driving consistency in processes, tools, and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, train, and oversee functional strategies and objectives for program management across the division.
• Lead program management personnel for multiple business units and establish program baselines aligned with margin targets.
• Identify, develop, and implement improved processes, tools, and best practices.
• Build and mentor senior program management leadership, embedding required competencies.
• Create performance metrics, dashboards, and management tools to monitor effectiveness.
• Review underperforming programs, partner on mitigation plans, and oversee recovery execution.
• Position program management as a growth enabler for revenue and operating profit.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Science (MBA preferred).
• At least 10 years of program management experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Proven ability to develop functional strategies, establish best practices, and implement large‑scale processes.
• Experience leading in a matrixed organization with strong collaboration and influence skills.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance and access export‑controlled information.

Required skills

• PMP certification or equivalent.
• Expertise in managing government and commercial contracts.
