Product Safety Stewardship Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Product Safety Stewardship Coordinator to ensure our surface‑treatment products comply with all applicable regulations in North America and support global market needs. The role is based in New Providence, NJ and works closely with sales, marketing, supply chain and manufacturing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update and review OSHA, WHMIS and NOM compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels.
• Assign NFPA 704 and HMIS hazard ratings and manage dangerous‑goods releases under 49CFR, TDG, IMDG and IATA.
• Support regulatory review for new product introductions and handle internal/external NA regulatory inquiries.
• Maintain substance registrations under TSCA and CEPA, including low‑volume and polymer exemptions.
• Report TSCA Chemical Data Reporting and CEPA Section 71 survey obligations.
• Provide regulatory insight, troubleshooting and training to business units.
• Develop and implement SOPs and process‑improvement projects related to product stewardship.
• Collaborate with global contacts on UN GHS compliance for exports to Europe and Asia‑Pacific.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
• Experience working with regulatory frameworks for chemicals and surface‑treatment products.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
