Process Technician I – Night Shift (Houston)

About the role

Join BASF's Performance Materials team in Houston as a Process Technician I on the night shift. You will support polyurethane systems operations by ensuring safe handling, accurate loading, and quality control of raw and finished materials.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect tanks before loading and verify correct product quantities.
• Perform quality control checks on inbound and outbound materials.
• Verify shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, MSDS, Certificate of Analysis, and UL certificates.
• Coordinate loading/unloading schedules with Traffic Control and ensure proper trailer loading.
• Receive and inventory raw materials, conduct weekly counts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare batches according to blend sheets, package, label, and palletize shipments.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections, schedule repairs, and act as backup for teammates.
• Identify hazards and participate in EHS programs, including incident reporting.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills with Windows‑based programs and email.
• Ability to read simple instructions, write basic correspondence, and perform mathematical calculations.
