PRN Nurse Practitioner – Military Health Readiness (Weekend)

About the role
DOCS Health is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to join our Reserve Health Readiness Program as independent contractors. You will provide essential health readiness services to U.S. military reserve personnel, primarily on weekends and occasional weekdays across Kentucky.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct physical health assessments for service members.
- Review medical histories, service records, and questionnaires.
- Interview personnel to identify current and prior health concerns, including behavioral health issues.
- Document interview findings and readiness classifications using our proprietary system.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians when required by state regulations.
Required profile
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Kentucky.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience in primary care, urgent care, or occupational health (preferred).
- Ability to work extended hours, travel to remote military installations, and be available on weekends.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Required skills
- Knowledge of military health systems, protocols, and terminology (preferred).
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and record keeping.
