PRN Nurse Practitioner – Military Health Services

About the role

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to join our team as independent contractors, providing health readiness services to U.S. military reserve members under the Reserve Health Readiness Program in South Carolina. Work is primarily on weekends with occasional weekdays, on an as‑needed basis.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct physical health assessments for service members.
• Review health histories, medical records, and questionnaires.
• Interview personnel to identify current and prior medical concerns, including behavioral health issues.
• Document interview results and readiness classifications using our proprietary system.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians when required by state regulations.

Required profile

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in South Carolina (or applicable state).
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to work extended hours, travel to various military installations, and be available on weekends.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Primary care experience (preferred).
• Urgent care or occupational health experience (preferred).
• Experience delivering mobile medical services (preferred).
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology (preferred).
