Patient Services Coordinator

About the role

The Patient Services Coordinator supports the Neonatal ICU team by managing patient flow, coordinating admissions and discharges, and ensuring a seamless experience for families and clinical staff. This position is based at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and contributes to the hospital’s mission of delivering high‑quality, compassionate care.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges within the Neonatal ICU.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update status in the hospital information system.
• Communicate with families, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to address patient needs.
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, privacy regulations, and safety standards.

Required profile

• Current or former employee of the University of Arkansas System, including student employees or graduate assistants.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
