Pharmacy Technician I (PRN) – Cancer Institute Pharmacy

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I on a PRN (as‑needed) basis to support the Cancer Institute Pharmacy. This temporary, fixed‑term position provides essential assistance to pharmacists in a high‑volume oncology setting, ensuring safe and accurate medication preparation for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with the preparation, labeling, and dispensing of oncology medications.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and manage medication stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and institutional pharmacy regulations.
• Perform medication compounding and aseptic techniques as required.
• Document all pharmacy activities in the computer system and maintain patient confidentiality.

Required profile

• Current eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent experience in a clinical pharmacy setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
