Payroll Partner – Bilingual (French)

About the role

The Payroll Partner will serve as the primary point of contact for Canadian and U.S. payroll clients, ensuring seamless delivery of payroll services and high client satisfaction. This senior‑level position requires bilingual communication in English and French and a deep understanding of Canadian payroll regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Canadian and U.S. payroll client accounts, driving strategic growth and relationship management.
• Develop and execute account‑management strategies to exceed performance metrics.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues, providing root‑cause analysis and resolution.
• Lead large‑scale client onboarding, operational readiness, and year‑end processes.
• Facilitate governance discussions, identify process improvements, and upsell additional services.
• Collaborate with tax, finance, and HRIS teams to deliver tailored solutions.
• Deliver presentations and performance reports to internal and external executives.
• Create and maintain advanced SOPs and support audit facilitation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Canadian payroll services, tax, or related fields.
• Advanced knowledge of Canadian payroll statutes, CRA/Revenue Quebec regulations, and provincial labor standards.
• Bilingual in English and French.
• Degree in accounting, business, or related discipline; payroll certifications (CPP, PLP) are a plus.

Required skills

• SAP or other HRIS systems.
• MS Excel, including pivot tables and macros.
