Partner Technical Engineer – Data & Integration Partnerships

About the role
Clay is building a data marketplace that powers AI‑driven growth for B2B companies. The Partner Technical Engineer will own the technical quality bar for data providers and ensure new partners are integration‑ready before they go live.
Key responsibilities
- Define and maintain end‑to‑end testing methodology, including standard test kits and scoring models for a 200+ provider portfolio.
- Act as technical gatekeeper for prospective partners, assessing delivery methods, authentication patterns, rate limits and data structures.
- Collaborate with product, engineering and partner tech teams to design joint solutions and prototype integrations.
- Monitor post‑launch integration health, API performance and data quality, and resolve complex issues with partner teams.
Required profile
- 3+ years in a technical role such as software engineering, solutions engineering or technical partnerships.
- Experience working with REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks and modern integration patterns.
- Proven ability to navigate third‑party APIs and dense technical documentation.
- Comfort with data analysis, SQL and building dashboards from messy datasets.
