Participant Engagement Consultant

About the role

Ascensus is seeking a Participant Engagement Consultant to design and execute communication strategies that boost retirement plan participation and savings. You will serve as the subject‑matter expert for participant education, working closely with plan sponsors, clients, and internal partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive participant communication and engagement plans for retirement accounts.
• Lead webinars, workshops, and leadership‑training sessions tailored to workforce demographics and education levels.
• Collaborate with Plan Sponsors and Client Relationship Managers to select optimal education mediums and create customized presentation content.
• Track, evaluate, and report on engagement metrics, ensuring measurable improvements in participation and savings rates.
• Support new‑business initiatives by presenting communication services to prospects and identifying cross‑selling opportunities.
• Mentor junior communications specialists and contribute to special projects within the participant communication team.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of retirement plan regulations, trends, and participant behavior.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and produce clear reports.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering measurable results.

Required skills

• Experience creating and delivering financial wellness and retirement education programs.
• Familiarity with legal plan documents such as Summary Plan Descriptions and Investment Policy Statements.
