Part-Time Leasing Professional – Student Living Community

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Leasing Professional to join the Hillside Ranch student‑living community in San Marcos. The role focuses on driving occupancy, revenue and resident satisfaction through full‑cycle leasing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit and criminal background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate with maintenance to ensure readiness.
• Monitor market trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and manage concessions and specials.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Use property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage resident data and capture demographic information.
• Maintain show‑unit standards and ensure a smooth resident move‑in experience.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with ability to engage prospective residents.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple leasing tasks simultaneously.
• Comfortable working part‑time hours on‑site at the community.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OneSite or Yardi property‑management software.
• Familiarity with online marketing tools such as Craigslist and Facebook.
