Paid Media Strategist (Communications Specialist III)

About the role

The Paid Media Strategist leads Texas A&M Engineering’s paid media strategy and execution across digital advertising channels. The role supports enrollment, reputation, engagement and other strategic marketing objectives by developing integrated plans, managing budgets and optimizing campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute paid media strategies aligned with college marketing goals, including media planning, budgeting and platform selection.
• Manage and optimize campaigns on Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn, handling audience targeting, bidding, creative rotation and performance testing.
• Partner with Marketing Analytics to set KPIs, monitor performance, analyze results and provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with campaign managers, creative, social, web and analytics teams to ensure paid media integrates with broader marketing initiatives.
• Maintain best‑practice documentation, tracking parameters and compliance with platform policies and privacy requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least four years of related experience; five or more years of professional digital advertising experience preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
• Google Ads certification or other platform certifications.
