Make Ready Specialist – The Ravinia

About the role

The Make Ready Specialist ensures that vacant apartment units at The Ravinia meet Greystar’s quality standards before they are re‑leased. This hands‑on position involves completing repairs, cleaning, and finishing work so each unit is market‑ready and ready for a new resident.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all required repairs and improvements on vacant units following the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and repair or replace it.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units under supervision.
• Maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document completion of the make‑ready checklist and related maintenance records promptly.
• Follow Greystar’s safety policies, attend safety meetings, and complete OSHA‑related training.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answer questions, and address maintenance complaints efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written checklists.
• Commitment to cost‑effective repairs and proper use of tools and supplies.
• Willingness to adhere to safety and risk‑management procedures.
