Maintenance Technician – Villa Fontana

About the role

Greystar is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Technician for the Villa Fontana community in Daly City. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders, diagnose issues, and perform repairs on boiler, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall and other systems.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance, maintain inventory of spare parts, and support budget development for repairs and capital projects.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 3‑5 years of property or building maintenance experience.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures, and communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (internet, word processing, spreadsheets, database management).

Required skills

• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for HVAC refrigerant handling.
• Hands‑on experience with boiler systems, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall and general maintenance tools.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
