Maintenance Technician – Trella Uptown

About the role

This position performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. The role supports the lease‑up phase of the Trella Uptown mid‑rise property in Charlotte, NC.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs in accordance with safety and code standards.
• Experience with preparing vacant apartments for new occupants, including inspections and coordination with vendors.
• Strong attention to detail for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Willingness to work on‑site Monday‑Friday with a rotating on‑call schedule.
