Maintenance Technician – Student Living (Kirwan Blanding)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Kirwan Blanding student living community. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies and codes.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final walkthrough.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting.
• Inspect contractor work, conduct property safety inspections and report incidents in line with Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent with at least 2 years of property or building maintenance experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, EPA Type I, II or Universal) as required by state or local regulations.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheet and database management applications.
• EPA certifications Type I, II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
