Maintenance Technician – Savoy Property

About the role

The Maintenance Technician for the Savoy property ensures that all building systems, common areas, and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality. This onsite role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory by tracking usage of tools, supplies, and equipment, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials and tools efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and repair building systems while adhering to safety and code standards.
• Strong organizational skills for handling work orders, inventory, and make‑ready schedules.
• Attention to detail in documentation and quality of completed work.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
