Maintenance Technician – Irvington Place

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Irvington Place property in St. Louis. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety and risk‑management meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety policies.

Required profile

• Ability to perform hands‑on mechanical and technical work in a residential property setting.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality of repairs.
• Good organizational skills for managing work orders, inventory, and vendor coordination.
