Maintenance Technician – High‑Rise Property

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas of the high‑rise property meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This full‑time onsite role supports resident satisfaction and prepares vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to perform technical and mechanical maintenance tasks in a high‑rise residential environment.
• Strong attention to safety procedures, building codes and company policies.
• Effective documentation and communication skills for work orders and inventory tracking.
